Moorabool Shire Council – Gordon Streetscape
In 2014, Moorabool Shire Council undertook the ‘Gordon Infrastructure Study’, to provide a strategy for future road, drainage and footpath networks required within the township to address current and anticipated future growth. This report identified the need upgrade Main Street, Gordon.
RMG was engaged by Moorabool Shire Council to design the Main Street of Gordon. The objectives of this engagement were to improve the Level of Service with respect to road and drainage infrastructure, improve the level of aesthetic amenity of the township, achieve outcomes which are supported by the community and foster civic pride, whilst also improving integration with public transport and parking.
RMG worked together with Moorabool Shire Council and the Gordon Community to provide a holistic solution to the Main Street. This included stakeholder engagement with the Gordon Community, Landscape Architecture, Geometric Road Design and innovative Drainage Design.
