RMG provided civil and structural engineering expertise for the Harry Trott Recreation Reserve upgrade. This $4.9 million project transformed the park, creating a modern sports hub for the community that meets todays building and accessibility standards, complete with female friendly change rooms, social facilities for shared use by a range of user groups, improved landscapes and spectator viewing areas.

 

The upgrade encompassed a new pavilion with quality amenities, including:

  • AFL oval / Cricket oval x 1
  • Turf cricket wicket x 1
  • Cricket training nets x 6
  • Multi-purpose netball / tennis courts
  • Court and oval lighting 
  • Oval score board
  • Car park
  • Shared use zone
  • Change rooms and associated player amenities (compliant with AFL and Netball Victoria standards)
  • All abilities change room
  • First aid / massage room 
  • Two umpire rooms (catering to male and female use)
  • Public amenities with internal and external access
  • Social/community function and meeting space
  • Kiosk and kitchen
  • Meeting room/administration office
  • Storage for tenant groups and back of house facilities
  • Spectator areas for viewing the oval and netball courts
  • External storage to support netball and oval sports activities.
