RMG provided compliance and surveillance inspection services to the Department of Transport and Planning (DoTP) as part of the Wangaratta Station works, delivered with the Inland Rail Beveridge to Albury program.This project formed part of broader upgrade works across 262km of rail line at 12 regional sites to support the future movement of double-stacked freight trains.

Works in Wangaratta included lowering the rail line beneath two key road bridges – Green Street and Cusack Street – to provide the necessary clearance for increased freight capacity. RMG’s role ensured that construction activities met required standards and that the integrity of the surrounding state-managed road infrastructure was maintained throughout delivery.

Drawing on experience from Tranche 1, RMG helped deliver a smooth and compliant outcome at this strategically important freight corridor, improving efficiency, safety, and long-term reliability of the network.
