Department of Transport and Planning (DoTP) engaged RMG for civil engineering services and project management services to design and deliver Road Safety Barriers as part of the Victorian Government ‘Towards Zero’ initiative.

Due to the significant benefits of Road Safety Barriers, the Safe Systems Road Improvement Program required the installation of Road Safety Barriers on a large scale, covering much of the Victorian road network.

RMG was engaged for services on the following roads:

  • Calder Freeway
  • Hume Freeway
  • Mornington Freeway
  • Frankston Freeway
  • Midland Highway
  • Melton Highway
  • Geelong-Bacchus Marsh Road
  • Beechworth-Wodonga Road
  • Pascoe Vale Road
  • Somerton Road
  • Sunshine Avenue
  • Vineyard Road
  • Kororoit Creek Road
  • Stud Road
  • Wellington Road

RMG worked together with DoTP to provide Road Safety Barrier designs and manage the construction within tight project timeframes.  RMG was able to achieve this by bringing together its specialist Road Safety Barriers designers and project management teams to provide a multidisciplinary approach.
