RMG was engaged by Department of Transport and Planning (DoTP) to develop a risk management plan for the Napier Street Upgrade project.
The $30.4 million Napier Street project forms part of the Midland Highway through Bendigo and serves as an important north-south freight and tourist route connection to Echuca, Shepparton and developing areas to the north of Bendigo.
RMG worked with the Regional Roads Victoria and its stakeholders to develop a risk management plan that included the following:
- Identified project hazards
- Analysis of the likelihood and potential consequences of adverse effects, and identifying any potential opportunities (existing or other) for avoiding, mitigating or managing project and operational risk to acceptable levels
- Prioritisation of risks in accordance with the risk ranking hierarchy
- Established residual risk treatment options and controls for extreme and high-risk categories
- Developed mechanism for the continual monitoring for changes to risks and assessment of the effectiveness of controls
