City of Greater Bendigo – Risk Management Plan for the Gurri Wanyarra Wellbeing Centre

RMG was engaged by the City of Greater Bendigo to develop a Risk Management Plan for the Gurri Wanyarra Wellbeing Centre.

The Wellbeing Centre Project was a $28 million project which included an adventure splash park, multi-purpose flexible program rooms, a creche, cafe, wet and dry changerooms, landscaping, bus access and car parking for about 160 vehicles, four swimming pools which includes a 50 metre indoor pool, learn to swim/toddlers pool, a hydrotherapy/exercise pool and spa, and a children’s beach entry splash play pool.

RMG worked with the City of Greater Bendigo and its stakeholders to develop a Risk Management Plan that included the following:

  • Identified project hazards;
  • Analysis of the likelihood and potential consequences of adverse effects, and identifying any potential opportunities (existing or other) for avoiding, mitigating or managing project and operational risk to acceptable levels;
  • Prioritisation of risks in accordance with the risk ranking hierarchy;
  • Established residual risk treatment options and controls for extreme and high-risk categories; and

Developed mechanism for the continual monitoring for changes to risks and assessment of the effectiveness of controls.
